Dust echoes 2

The second story I've chosen is the Bat and the Butterfly story. Basically it's about a hunter who first of all seem very successful and popular among the people in the same tribe. He is hunting and supporting the others, just like any other hunter in a tribe. Suddenly he flips around, though, and kidnaps the daughter of the tribe leader and takes her to a cave. During their time in the cave she constantly tries to escape but fails. The tribe locates the cave where the girl is held hostage but they can't get to her because of the really aggressive kidnapper. Due to some intense praying and former goodness of deeds, I guess, the girl suddenly turns into a butterfly and manage go fly away from him. Because of his bad behavior and bad manner the man turns into a bat who tries to catch the butterfly. But she reaches the daylight before he could catch her, so she escapes! And he is doomed to a life in the cave!

What I think this is all about is the "what goes around comes around" phenomenon. If you want to live a rich and fulfilling life you have to be a good citizen and a caring fellow human being. You have to show others respect and be one in the group - not just do as you want to, and then expect others to have fortitude with it.

I think the understood meaning of this story is that you should obey the law, you should not take it in your own hands. You will have to pay for your actions! And also I believe that they are trying to describe that if you are a good fellow, meaning no harm to others, and don't make stupid actions you also will be rewarded when you least expect it. In ways you never would have dreamt of.

Not saying that you would win a couple of millions on the lottery or become famous over a night. No, I mean that if you are living a life without doing well-aware stupid decisions or actions they believe that you will be rewarded spiritually, mentally or even so - physically.

This story has a clear and understandable sense of morality, which I believe is easy to get. Even though they're not using words it's easy to get the message. And it's an important message, so it's absolutely great that they've done a dream song about this topic!
