This sculpture is named Earth fish and is created by Daniel Wallwork.

For me, the photo of this sculpture makes me want to really check it out. I want to touch it, see the colors in real life and discover what's behind - how the sculpture looks from behind, if there is something there? If it is the same color and texture on the back as in the front?

What really attracts me by this sculpture is the colors, they are well combined without having any kind of pattern nor color palette. There is a certain calm feeling gained when you look at the colors. There is no chaotic color destroying the peace, there is no colors not working with each other neither is there any color taking over. Even though there is a lot of gray the other colors helps to prevent any kind of boring feeling.

Also the texture it self creates curiosity. It looks like it would be some kind of metallic material, but it can also be plastic or laminate. Can't really tell. Tomorrow, when we're visiting the Sculptures by the sea exhibition, I'll find out though..

The name of the sculpture is Earth fish, which makes me think about a shark fin. Really cool recreation of a shark fin! Not something you've seen before, at least nothing I've seen before. And most importantly - nothing you would ever think of creating the first thing in the morning, which I think is important if you're going to create a successful, diverse and original exhibition.

I'm excited to see the rest of the sculptures tomorrow. A lot of them seemed really cool and you can really tell that there is a creativity involved. Im sure it will be a great day full of inspiration!
